Product IntroductionThe ToughArmor MB720MK-B V2 is a Ruggedized Removable Quad M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD Enclosure design for a 5.25" optical drive bay and supporting up to 64Gbp/s data transfer rates via OCulink (SFF-8612) interface. It simplifies the process of installing or removing M.2 NVMe SSD by using the removable drive trays with tool-less adjustable M.2 drive locker, making it easy to change drives at any time without open the computer case or dealing with drive mounting screws. For best cooling performance, the MB720MK-B V2 is equipped with dual cooling fans in the rear to remove the heat generates by the high-speed PCIe 4.0 SSD. On top of that, each drive tray comes with an extra-large heatsink lid and thermal pad to ensure your SSDs are at optimal temperatures. As part of ICY DOCK's toughest line, the MB720MK-B V2 is made out of full metal construction with metal barrel key locks for maximum protection.
Superior PCIe 4.0 PerformanceTo unlock the full potential of the PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, each drive bay uses a dedicated OCulink (SFF-8612) connector to achieve the bandwidth rate of 64Gb/s, which is two times faster than PCIe 3.0 and 10 times faster than SATA standards. This makes it an ideal solution for data-intensive applications such as autonomous driving, mobile automation, real-time forecast, film editing, and military computing.
Removable Drive Tray DesignA typical M.2 SSD is installed on the motherboard or adapter card that is often secured by tiny screws and requires opening the computer case to access the drives. With the ToughArmor MB720MK-B V2, your M.2 NVMe SSDs are brought to the 5.25" optical bay of the computer system and lets you change the drives without open up the case, making drive maintenance a more efficient and straightforward process
Patent-Pending M.2 Drive LockerTo install the drive, simply place the M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD in the drive tray, adjust the M.2 drive locker to the correct drive length, and you are all set to go. No tools or screws are required.
Full Drive Length SupportThe M.2 adjustable locker accommodates all standard M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD drives, including 2230 (30mm), 2242 (42mm), 2260 (60mm), 2280 (80mm), and 22110 (110mm), making this drive universal to all M.2 drive length and future-proofing the extra-long M.2 110mm drive.
EMI Grounding TechnologyGrounding your M.2 SSD is essential as swapping drives without proper grounding may lead to hardware damages due to static shocks. With our innovative EMI Grounding Technology, once the drive clips in the M.2 adjustable locker, the drive will be in a constant grounded state throughout the tray, housing, and computer system to ensures your drives are protected from static electrical surges and safe during swapping.

Maximizing Cooling PerformanceConsidering M.2 NVMe SSD is notorious for generating high temperatures, the drives must be maintained under operating temperatures at all times to prevent degradation of performance. Each drive tray comes equipped with an extra-large high-efficiency aluminum heatsink lid and thermal pad.
Working together with the dual 40mm cooling fans, the heat is further dispersed through the intelligently place ventilation holes throughout the entire enclosure.
The dual cooling fans come with three fan speed settings: High, Low, and off. The user can manually select the proper cooling option to keep the drives at optimal operating temperatures.
Packed with FeaturesAn LED status light built into the tray lets you know your drive is powered up and in use. The LED will shut off when no drive is installed to save power.
For an additional physical layer of security, the included key-lock can be used to protect against unwanted access and secure drives in rough environments, such as military systems and in-vehicle PCs.
